Job Description: Project Manager for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition implementation projects using the SAP Activate Methodology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing mid-size ERP implementations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

·        Project Planning and Management

o   Develop and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with the SAP Activate methodology.

o   Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with key stakeholders.

o   Facilitate project phases such as Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.

o   Manage project governance including steering committee meetings, status reporting, risk management, and escalation processes.

o   Manage project financials including budgeting and forecasting.

o   Proactively monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure on-time project delivery.

o   Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and project closure activities.

·        Team Leadership

o   Lead cross-functional teams, including consultants, developers, and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

o   Provide guidance, motivation, and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

o   Foster a collaborative environment to drive team performance and innovation.

·        Stakeholder Engagement

o   Act as the primary point of contact between the key stakeholders and the implementation team.

o   Regularly communicate project updates, milestones, and risks to key stakeholders.

o   Manage key stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.

·        SAP Activate Methodology Execution

o   Facilitate workshops and Fit to Standard analysis sessions to gather project requirements.

o   Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, tools, and accelerators provided by the Activate methodology.

o   Oversee the deployment and transition to SAP Cloud solutions, ensuring a seamless go-live experience.

·        Quality Assurance and Compliance

o   Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and comply with Navigator's Methodology guidelines.

o   Conduct periodic reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), and risk analysis to facilitate project success.

·        Post-Implementation Support

o   Support change management activities and ensure effective user adoption of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition solutions.

o   Provide oversight during hyper-care and stabilization periods.

Qualifications:

·        Education: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field. 

·        Experience

o   Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management with at least two (2) years of managing ERP implementations.

o   Proven experience in utilizing SAP Activate or similar methodology for ERP implementation projects.

·        Skills

o   Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and/or other SAP ERP solutions processes.

o   Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Projectmanager.com).

o   Familiarity with Agile methodologies and change management processes.

o   Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

o   Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

·        Certifications (Preferred)

o   SAP Activate Project Manager or SAP-related certifications

o   PMP

Work Environment:

·        Ability to work in a hybrid or remote consulting environment.

·        Willingness to travel as required by client engagements (up to 30% as needed for client meetings and on-site workshops).
